Richard’s practice focuses on bankruptcy reorganization, insolvency and creditors’ rights, debtor protection, business litigation, shareholder, partner and limited liability company disputes, purchases and sales of businesses, arbitration, mediation and alternate dispute forums, general corporate counseling, commercial agreements and contracts of all types, technology and Internet law and e-commerce, and real estate transactions.
Emphasizing open communication that is as much about listening as it is advising, Richard represents a diverse group of clients, from individual entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. Richard’s clients appreciate his responsiveness, accessibility, passionate advocacy and commitment to their success.
Prior to law school, Richard was an advertising and public relations professional who wrote and produced radio and television commercials for regional and national clients. This experience imbued him with strong communication and negotiation skills as well as an adeptness for creating win-win solutions that produce positive results for his clients.
When not fiercely advocating for his clients’ interests, Richard spends time with his family, enjoying competitive politics, music, theatre and travel.
