Chuhak & Tecson expands New York presence with new counsel relationship

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., a Chicago-based full service business law firm, has announced the formation of an affiliation with Weltman & Moskowitz, LLP, a creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, foreclosure and commercial litigation boutique law firm based in New York and New Jersey. Weltman & Moskowitz partners Richard E. Weltman and Michael L. Moskowitz, and associate attorneys, Michele K. Jaspan and Melissa A. Guseynov, will serve as Counsel at Chuhak & Tecson. Both firms will remain independent.

This of counsel arrangement allows Chuhak & Tecson to draw upon the talents of the attorneys at Weltman & Moskowitz, whose clients will also benefit from the resources and experience of Chuhak & Tecson’s attorneys.

Chuhak & Tecson continues to offer its New York clients a wide array of business legal services, from bank loan workouts related to conventional and SBA products, bankruptcy and creditor’s rights representation, corporate counsel, banking, commercial and consumer foreclosures, loan documentation, real estate leasing, purchase and sale transactions, and commercial litigation. The firm had earlier staked out a New York location in 2015, driven by the growing needs of its New York-based banking clients. Since then, Chuhak & Tecson’s regional practice has expanded.

The four Weltman & Moskowitz attorneys supplement Chuhak & Tecson’s existing New York team, including David J. Bloomberg, Joshua S. Hyman, Sarah K. Lash, Adam R. Moreland and Daniel Padernacht, as well as Lindsey Paige Markus and Miriam R. Stein, whose New York admissions are currently pending.

Sarah Lash, who oversees Chuhak & Tecson’s New York of counsel relationship, works closely with Weltman & Moskowitz to manage most of the New York litigation. Lash divides her time between Chicago and New York in her role as primary liaison on behalf of Chuhak & Tecson.

“Our firm is proud that our competitively priced, high-quality legal services are well received in New York,” said Andrew P. Tecson, president of the firm. “The affiliation with these four seasoned attorneys is a testament to the success of Chuhak & Tecson’s customer-based model in New York’s competitive legal market.”

Chuhak & Tecson’s New York City office is located at 270 Madison Avenue, Suite 1400, close to Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal, (646) 532-4636.
