He was a member of the bankruptcy and litigation practices at an international law services provider for five years prior to joining Chuhak & Tecson.
Amy Grace is a litigation associate who represents secured and unsecured lenders in workouts, commercial foreclosures, Uniform Commercial Code matters and other litigation regarding banking or creditor rights. Prior to joining Chuhak & Tecson, she worked in-house as a managing attorney for a prominent title company and as corporate counsel for a large real estate tax buyer. She also has hands-on litigation experience gained from representing banks at a creditors’ rights firm for several years.
Grace is the author of “Alternative Statutory and Nonstatutory Remedies,” a guide to mortgage foreclosure published in 2010 by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. She is an alumna of The John Marshall Law School.
Patrick Sutton focuses in healthcare, advising physicians, hospitals and not-for-profit organizations on how to navigate the complex legal requirements specific to the healthcare industry. He also provides guidance on general corporate matters and transactions, as well as health law issues such as regulatory compliance, Stark and anti-kickback restrictions, managed care contracts, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements.
Sutton's previous work as a legal intern at the University of Chicago Medical Center provided additional experience in contract negotiations; legal, regulatory and credentialing issues for medical staff, and analysis and application of HIPAA and HITECH requirements. Additionally, he gained considerable litigation experience working with a small firm in Chicago before joining Chuhak & Tecson. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he also completed an LL.M. degree in Health Law.
