Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., doing business in China for much of this decade, has announced that it has been approved as a representative office by the Chinese government, from its previous status as a liaison office. As a representative office, which is viewed in China as a sign of prominence, Chuhak & Tecson will now have even greater visibility and recognition with its Chinese clients.
In 2007 Chuhak and Tecson established a liaison office in Shanghai, committing to the China market with its ever-expanding Welcome to USA program, a comprehensive offering of services for Chinese corporations and high-net-worth persons interested in the United States. This new representative office is a sign of the continued growth of the firm's practice in China.
Gary J. Stern, the firm shareholder in charge of Chuhak & Tecson's Shanghai office, will travel to China to meet with clients from Aug. 1 to 10.
