Wearing many hats, Harvey has been involved with all aspects of employee benefits, including plan design, drafting, implementation, administration and termination.
In addition, he has advised and represented both plan sponsors and participants in controversies with the IRS as well as other parties.
An innovator, Harvey developed, drafted and qualified the first defined benefit plan in Texas allowing participants to receive an insured death benefit in addition to their calculated accrued benefits. Harvey has spoken for the State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education, Texas Society of CPAs Advanced Estate Planning, and the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants National Convention.
Harvey authored Chapter 19, "Deadlines for Depositing Employee Contributions and Loan Repayments" and Chapter 23, "Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights" (USERRA) in the American Institute of CPA's book The CPA's Guide to Retirement Plans for Small Businesses, published 2007.
Harvey is also a trained mediator. He currently serves on Chuhak & Tecson's professional education committee.
