Keeping their best interests in mind and providing straightforward advice, Zachary Beaver works closely with both individuals and businesses to methodically craft innovative plans for his clients’ end goals.
Having spent three years on active duty in the United States Army as an infantryman and nearly seven years as a state trooper with the Indiana State Police, Zack brings a unique perspective to the firm. His decade of experience in public service has helped him understand people in a way that is empathetic, enabling him to focus on achieving real-world resolutions. By applying lessons learned in combat in Iraq and as a trooper, Zack thrives in even the most chaotic situations—with sound judgment and a calming demeanor—to help bring about well-reasoned and desirable outcomes. In litigation and workout matters, he leverages this knowledge and these life experiences when counseling clients on banking and corporate-related issues.
Real Estate is also a burgeoning portion of Zack’s practice. Investors and developers rely on him for reviewing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and structuring lease transactions. He also counsels clients facing zoning and permitting issues by thoroughly evaluating all processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
Zack is passionate about finances, government and business. One of his pleasures is the time during his commute where he listens to podcasts and news broadcasts to stay current with new laws and trends in those fields. Similarly, Zack commits himself to reading at least one hour a day about new developments by searching for new articles or material related to changes in the law or in the political climate. In doing so, Zack strengthens his ability to advise and solve problems for his clients, while ensuring they receive the utmost personal service.
Giving back to the community is ingrained in Zack; in high school he was a volunteer for the Lake County Sherriff’s Office in Indiana and in college he was a volunteer police officer for the Lowell Police Department. In addition, Zack served for two years as an executive board member on the Indiana State Police Alliance which was the successor to the State Police Union, representing approximately 200 sworn officers. In January 2019, Zack also began his first stint as an elected official to the Winfield Township Board, serving a four-year term.
Zack received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. He graduated from Indiana University Northwest, summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and government.
When he is not working, Zack and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors with their four children, especially camping, hiking, baseball and maintaining a small vegetable garden at their home. He also stays active in another way; since 2010, Zack has participated in the Chicago Marathon five times and in numerous half-marathons across the country.
