She works one-on-one with clients, providing wealth preservation and asset protection strategies, thoroughly analyzing their personal and professional asset portfolios in order to maximize assets and minimize taxation.
Carly also has significant experience in the preparation of trust and estate income tax returns and the delivery of federal and state tax returns for individuals as well as for trusts and estates.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Carly worked as a trust administrative and estate settlement officer for a corporate fiduciary. As a trust administrative officer, she counseled clients on their fiduciary, investment management and individual retirement accounts to ensure proper administration and maintenance of the accounts. As an estate settlement officer, Carly managed and administered probate estates and grantor trusts. Her prior experience in the banking industry enhances Carly’s ability to meet her clients’ goals, and is especially invaluable for those seeking to transfer or protect assets.
To ensure her clients receive the utmost personal service, Carly stays current with relevant legal matters through continuing legal education seminars and by reading all articles pertaining to changing tax laws and estate planning strategies. She is actively involved with the Chicago Estate Planning Council and serves on the workshops committee. Within the firm, Carly is a member of Chuhak & Tecson's Professional Education Committee and an ambassador of the Women Helping Women program.
Carly is a certified financial planner. She received herJuris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring Chicago’s restaurant scene and spending time with friends and family.
