Among other concerns, he manages easement drafting, bylaws, declarations, developer turnover matters, enforcement litigation, collection of assessments and interpretation of governing documents. Stevens also defends boards of directors in courtroom proceedings and advises clients on the Illinois Condominium Property Act, Forcible Entry and Detainer Act, Illinois Business Corporation Act, Not for Profit Corporation Act and Common Interest Community Association Act.
Founded in 1874, the CBA is one of the oldest and most active metropolitan bar associations in the United States. The association's voluntary membership of 20,000 consists largely of lawyers and judges from Cook County and the state of Illinois. However, the CBA does have a growing out-of-state membership of lawyers who want to take advantage of the association's many membership services and benefits.
