Collections Manager

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. seeks a Collections Manager with three to five years of collections experience in a law firm, or minimally a professional services firm. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in the “art” of collections ranging from finessing interactions with well-regarded individual clients as well as corporate accounts payable departments. Our candidate will make collection calls, agree and execute collection arrangements with clients, reconcile client billing and account receivable issues, meet with billing attorneys to monitor receivables and facilitate collection efforts, distribute monthly statements, process credit card payments and maintain record of collection communications.

Further, our ideal candidate will possess demonstrated superior communication skills, both oral and written, while interacting with parties including internal team members, clients and/or adverse parties and across multiple communication media such as snail mail, e-mail, telephone and videoconference. Candidate must also demonstrate a mastery of the English language, both oral and written; possess exceptional attention to detail, mathematical, analytical and organizational skills; and be able to effectively prioritize among multiple tasks and work effectively with others across the entire firm. Candidate must be experienced with law firm accounting system software (Juris a plus!) and basic accounting tools used for collections, Microsoft Office 2016 suite of applications, credit card processing, advanced pdf functions and other more minor technological tools. Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field required unless requisite professional experience is demonstrated.
