Chuhak & Tecson employees to join Women Everywhere in a day of service

As part of its “25 Ways to Give Back” program, Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. will participate in the 13th Annual Women Everywhere: Partners in Service Day, sponsored by a number of local bar associations.

Through Women Everywhere, firm employees will volunteer at two local not for profit organizations—“Between Friends,” a domestic violence service provider, and “Sarah’s Circle,” a drop-in facility for women affected by homelessness. On June 22, volunteers will participate in an afternoon of gardening at Between Friends; at Sarah’s Circle, volunteers will lead a social activity and provide support to homeless and at-risk women.

Between Friends is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence and each year helps thousands of women through educational programs and counseling services, all free of charge. Sarah’s Circle provides amenities such as meals, clothing, phones and restroom facilities to more than 900 women each year who are affected by homelessness.

The day of volunteering is the twelfth activity in Chuhak & Tecson’s yearlong community service initiative. In celebration of its 25th anniversary and in honor of its clients, firm employees are participating in 25 service projects assisting those in need. Projects include everything from serving meals to the homeless, to sponsoring clothing drives, to providing backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need.
