Chuhak & Tecson attorney Albert Grasso receives 2010 AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. attorney Albert L. Grasso continues to be recognized not only as an accomplished tax lawyer, but also as a renowned author and educator. Grasso, Of counsel and former president of Chuhak & Tecson, recently received the 2010 American Institute of CPAs Discussion Leader Award.

This distinguished award recognizes the AICPA discussion leaders that achieve the highest overall instructor knowledge and presentation scores for the organization’s seminars nationwide. Potential recipients are required to score at least 4.8 on a 5.0 evaluation scale. Although AICPA has more than 240 instructors, Grasso was one of only 15 people to receive the 2010 Discussion Leader Award.

Grasso, an AICPA speaker since 1978, has received the institute’s Discussion Leader Award numerous times. He lectures frequently for a variety of different organizations and formerly headed Chuhak & Tecson’s tax practice and co-chaired the firm’s ERISA practice. Grasso has written a number of textbooks which are used nationwide by other professionals to understand the constantly changing tax and pension laws, and he is also a member of the advisory board for “The Accountant’s Business Manual.”
