Chuhak & Tecson elevates Leifman and Walsh

A unique elevation, Michael D. Leifman started as a marketing intern and law clerk at Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. for two years each, became a staff attorney and is now an associate. His practice focuses on banking matters such as commercial mortgage foreclosures, Uniform Commercial Code issues, creditors’ rights, bankruptcies, commercial workouts and the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act Compliance. In addition, Leifman regularly works on employment law and general litigation matters, including Fair Labor Standards Act disputes and civil forfeiture processes. Aside from managing his practice, staying up-to-date on relevant laws affords him the opportunity to author numerous client alerts. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Professional Education Committee.

Leifman received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University, and received his Bachelor of Science in Sport Marketing and Management from Indiana University.

Similar to Leifman, Margaret M. Walsh also started as a law clerk, became a staff attorney and is now elevated to an associate. Walsh’s practice includes secured lending, commercial real estate and corporate transactions. She spends a majority of her time conducting diligence along with negotiating and drafting documents for secured finance transactions for commercial real estate, asset and stock purchases and construction. When Walsh isn’t working on a finance transaction, she provides legal advice to business owners in entity structuring and ownership issues and prepares organizational documents and agreements.

Walsh received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Governors State University.
