Chuhak & Tecson Principal Kristen Hudson moderates panel: Navigating Gender Bias from the Boardroom to the Courtroom

On Monday, Sept. 25, Chuhak & Tecson’s Kristen E. Hudson, along with Erin Bolan Hines from BakerHostetler LLP, will serve as a moderator for the 2017 Law Student Event: Navigating Gender Bias from the Boardroom to the Courtroom, a panel and Q&A session hosted by the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law. This event will take place at The John Marshall Law School from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be followed by a networking reception for both women lawyers and women law students. The discussion will focus on key topics related to gender biases in the legal profession.

In its ninth year, women law students from Chicago Kent College of Law, DePaul University College of Law, The John Marshall Law School, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and University of Chicago Law School attend this highly anticipated event. This year’s panelists include Leslee Cohen of Hershman Cohen, Katherine Minarik of Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott LLP, Jennifer Nichols of Banner Real Estate Group, Sarah Toney of The Toney Law Firm LLC and Kelly Navarro, a professor at The John Marshall Law School. The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is a nonprofit membership association that brings together women's initiatives in law firms and companies of all sizes across the Chicago area. Founded in Chicago nearly 10 years ago, the group promotes a dialogue and support network among women to further their career advancement and professional development, and to help fuel the continued growth of women's initiatives. Hudson is a member of the organization’s Board of Directors and co-chair of the Community Outreach Committee.
