Chuhak & Tecson welcomes five new associates
Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. is pleased to announce five new associates, Julie Gardner, Koplan Nwabuoku, Christopher Pellegrini, Shweta Van Beveren and Aaron White Jr., adding more bandwidth to four of the firm’s 12 practice groups.
Julie Gardner is highly knowledgeable in all stages of estate and trust litigation. Her previous role as an attorney for a Chicago-based law firm prepared her for her current responsibilities at Chuhak & Tecson, which include the administration of trusts and decedent’s estates, adult guardianship appointments and estate planning.
Julie attended Loyola University Chicago where she received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Women’s Studies/Gender Studies and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago.
Koplan Nwabuoku joins the firm’s litigation practice group as an associate with a focus on complex commercial litigation. Koplan brings to the firm experience in an array of litigation matters including contract disputes, defending officers and directors in dissociative litigation, employment torts and disputes over restrictive covenants.
Koplan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Chris Pellegrini excels in bank litigation which makes him an indispensable resource for his clients. Prior to joining Chuhak & Tecson Chris served as in-house counsel for a national commercial bank where he both managed a large litigation caseload and assisted in the documentation of hundreds of commercial transactions. He also has extensive experience in representing employee benefit funds and labor unions.
Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Shweta Van Beveren possesses over 10 years of experience as a banking attorney where she gained knowledge in drafting and reviewing commercial loan documents along with negotiating business transactions and commercial real-estate deals. She provides her clients with astute counseling to make informed decisions regarding loan transactions.
Shweta attended Ohio State University, Columbus, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and received her Juris Doctor from DePaul University’s College of Law, Chicago.
Aaron White Jr. has extensive experience helping his bank clients negotiate workouts as an alternative to litigation, while also advising them on compliance and risk management issues. In addition, he represents clients in a variety of residential and commercial banking matters including foreclosures, collections, eminent domain and security interests.
Aaron completed his Bachelor of Arts degrees at Loyola University Chicago in Political Science and International Studies and earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago.
