Purtill and Stevens among Top 100 Emerging Real Estate-Related Lawyers in Illinois

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. is pleased to announce that principals Kevin Purtill and James (Jamie) Stevens have been chosen by Leading Lawyers Magazine as Top 100 Emerging Real Estate-Related Lawyers in Illinois for 2018. This is an annual honor afforded to the state’s highest-ranked attorneys based upon Law Bulletin Media’s annual surveys that ask all Leading Lawyers in the state to confidentially share the names of lawyers whom they believe have proven themselves at an early point in their legal career.

Purtill is highly skilled at counseling lending institutions and investors on all aspects of real estate related matters, from front-end loan documentation to the negotiation, structuring and execution of back-end commercial workouts. His practice maintains a strong emphasis in banking law and other creditor’s rights-related litigation.

Stevens’ vast knowledge centers on representing condominium and homeowner associations of different sizes in all association legal concerns, from drafting bylaws to defending boards of directors in court proceedings. He also has extensive experience with deconversions – turning condominium buildings into rental properties.

“Both Jamie and Kevin are very deserving of this recognition given that their practices are successfully growing,” said Steve Bloomberg, a real estate principal and founder of the firm’s Condominium & Common Interest Community Association group. “They both take a proactive approach to their relationships with clients and are accountable for the work performed.”

Leading Lawyers Magazine’s Emerging Lawyer selection is comprised of the state’s top attorneys who are age 40 or younger unless they have practiced for more than 10 years. Less than 2 percent of all lawyers licensed in Illinois can receive this distinction. To learn more, visit leadinglawyers.com
