Principal Jeralyn Baran moderates panel focused on employee terminations

When is the right time to terminate an employee? Have you waited too long or moved too fast, and how does a business avoid litigation from the disgruntled employee? Employment and litigation attorney, Jeralyn H. Baran, principal with Chuhak & Tecson, P.C., moderated the Technology and Manufacturing Association’s (TMA) panel discussion for Human Resource professionals and business owners that centered on employee termination laws. The panel included Michael Hughes, an experienced employment attorney from SmithAmundsen, Ana Maria Trbojevich, a human resources consultant from the Chatfield Group and Sue Ofloy, a human resources manager from Weiler Engineering, Inc. Together they identified safe and respectful ways to manage employee separations and evaluated the different types of termination requests.

The TMA represents nearly 1,000 manufacturers and over 30,000 manufacturing employees and is passionate about helping its members gain profitable growth and business success through advocacy, advice, education, networking, information, programs and services.
