For Margaret Walsh, the keys to success are developing ongoing business relationships with her clients and providing straightforward and practical legal advice—both of which she does as an attorney in the firm’s Banking group.
With a focus on the banking industry and an emphasis on real estate and business law, Margaret negotiates and drafts documents for all types of financing transactions including real estate, construction and business lending. Such documentation may include loan agreements and modifications, mortgages, leases, assignments, intercreditor agreements, corporate resolutions and security agreements.
During law school Margaret was a judicial extern for the Honorable William E. Gomolinski in the Circuit Court of Cook County, a member of the Appellate Moot Court Society and served as Executive Text Editor of the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law. In the summer of 2014, she participated in the DePaul University College of Law study abroad program in Sorrento, Italy where she studied several international topics including International Contract Law.
Prior to attending law school, Margaret worked as a paralegal at a Chicago-based insurance and corporate defense firm. She is currently serving on the Associate/Law Clark Oversight Committee at Chuhak & Tecson.
Outside of work Margaret enjoys traveling, boating, watching hockey and live music.
