Kevin Coyne, Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. principal and leader of the firm’s Real Estate group, will be one of the panelists presenting to students from UIC John Marshall Law School’s Center for Real Estate Law at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 17. Panelists joining Coyne are fellow UIC John Marshall alumni Elisa Pennetti, vice president and Illinois State Counsel, Near North Title Group, and Jordan Peters, partner, Freeborn and Peters LLP.

This event is a learning and networking opportunity for UIC John Marshall students interested in careers in commercial real estate law. Each semester, alumni from the Center for Real Estate join current students to talk about breaking into the real estate industry, landing that important first job and identifying the best coursework to be practice-ready upon graduation. To register, contact Jacob McMillian at the UIC John Marshal Law School’s Center for Real Estate Law and he will provide the complimentary Zoom link.

Coyne leads the Real Estate practice group at Chuhak & Tecson. He represents national franchises, restaurants, bars and professional practices and has substantial experience negotiating office, retail and industrial leases on the national and local levels for landlords and tenants. He relishes his roles as both legal counsel and business advisor for commercial property transactions and is rapidly expanding his knowledge relative to the COVID-19 pandemic and commercial lease obligations. As a former Naperville city councilman, Coyne has unique perspective and constructive insight that benefits clients facing municipal issues in Chicagoland.
