Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. proudly announces that Brandon Freud has joined the firm’s Banking and Litigation practice groups.

When litigation is unavoidable, Freud represents his clients with determination in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Financial institutions, title insurance companies and their insureds, business and commercial real estate owners, not for profit entities and individuals turn to Freud to manage all aspects of the litigation process—from strategy formation, motion practice and discovery through trial. And he never loses sight of the value of settlement.

Financial institutions rely on Freud to enforce their rights and remedies as secured and unsecured creditors in foreclosure actions, UCC sales, fraudulent transfer suits and in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings. He also defends them against lender liability claims and other commercial disputes brought by depositors and third parties. For businesses, not for profits and individuals, Freud handles breach of contract cases, business torts, restrictive covenants, partnership disputes and other matters. Title insurance companies and their insureds depend on him to resolve title defect, easement and other real estate matters. Brandon also has extensive experience handling landlord-tenant disputes as well as mechanics lien cases.

Mitchell Weinstein, president of Chuhak & Tecson, believes the skills and experience Freud brings to the Banking and Litigation practice groups further enhance the well-known and capable foundations each group offers to clients.

“Brandon’s commitment to responsiveness and efficient representation, coupled with his determination to protect his clients from unnecessary costs, are hallmarks that all of our attorneys share,” Weinstein said. “His wide range of litigation experience and positive outcomes show that his advocacy skills will be an asset to our clients and to the firm.”

Freud is excited to join Chuhak & Tecson.

“The broad range and depth of legal services provided by Chuhak & Tecson, and the sheer talent of its lawyers, will serve my clients well.” Freud said.

Previously at a litigation boutique, Freud earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He then served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where he first-chaired dozens of trials and handled more than 30 appeals.
