Amendments to declarations, bylaws and rules

We review the declaration and bylaws and advise the client whether it would be cost-effective to make amendments to include changes required under the Illinois Condominium Property Act or Illinois Common Interest Community Association Act. If desired, we can prepare separate amendments for leasing restrictions and other limitations, or assist in drafting rules and regulations for the Association. Our attorneys, with decades of experience, know these documents thoroughly. Steven Bloomberg was the winning attorney representing the Association in 1995's precedent-setting Apple II Condominium Association v. Worth Bank & Trust Co. He can advise Boards on the appellate court decision that gave Associations the right to add amendments to their declarations and the standard of review for rules and regulations.
