Insurance recovery and counseling

The firm brings a broad, diverse and current knowledge of insurance law to its work with self-insured businesses, commercial policyholders and individuals. We routinely counsel our clients on complex insurance coverage issues as well as litigate insurance coverage cases. We advise clients on commercial policies such as directors’ and officers’ liability policies, professional liability policies, employment liability policies, commercial general liability policies, first-party policies such as property insurance, fidelity bonds and cyber liability policies.

We will help solve your insurance-related questions. We analyze policies and contractual insurance requirements, investigate coverage for claims and respond to reservations of rights and denials of coverage. We audit our clients’ insurance programs to ensure that your coverage says what you think it says, and will advise on policy wording, enhancements and clarifications.

We aim to resolve coverage problems before they happen, but if that is unavoidable, we will fight for your rights in coverage litigation. We have successfully obtained payment for claims for our clients who were denied by their insurance companies. We are also well-versed in asserting bad faith claims against insurers.
