Law Clerks and Undergraduate Internships

There is no substitute for experience, and Chuhak & Tecson is committed to giving college and law students the opportunity to experience what it is like to work in an exciting, dynamic law firm environment. Our year-round law clerk and undergraduate summer internship programs are designed to expose participants to the day-to-day realities involved in the practice and business of law so they can expand their knowledge base and skill sets and make informed career decisions. Students work with attorneys and other professionals on a wide range of hands-on projects and tasks that complement and enhance their classroom learning. Several of our former interns and clerks are now practicing attorneys at the firm.

Law Clerks

For law students, our program is year-round starting in the summer and working throughout the next school year. Our law clerks not only receive a real-world experiential education about practicing law, but they also reap the benefits of an established network of mentors who guide their learning in ways that other law firms usually reserve only for new attorneys.

The hiring process for law clerks generally begins in February, and we target spring break for scheduling interviews. We typically onboard our law clerks in late May.

If you are a law student with a passion for the law and a desire to gain substantive experience at a creative, collaborative and collegial firm, please direct your resume, transcript and a writing sample to recruiting@chuhak.com. Please note that all applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Undergraduate Internships

For undergraduate students, the firm hires up to two summer interns each spring based on business needs to work from June through mid-August. Our interns can expect to receive hands-on job experience in many areas of the firm including marketing, human resources, accounting and more. They also will have the opportunity to see the how law is practiced, observe court proceedings, process docket needs and network with attorneys to see if a career in law is what they desire.

The hiring process for summer internships generally begins in February, and we target spring break for scheduling interviews. We typically onboard summer interns in May or June depending on school schedules.

If you are interested in an inside view of a law firm, please direct your cover letter and resume, as well as any questions, to recruiting@chuhak.com. Applicants who gain an interview should be prepared to share samples of two successful school projects (including objectives and final results) in which they were instrumental and must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
