Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. proudly announces that Cassandra “Cassie” Paolillo has joined the firm as a principal in the Corporate, Health Law and Nonprofit & Tax Exempt Organizations practice groups. Paolillo brings with her extensive, diverse experience representing clients across the healthcare industry and a determination to leverage the law as a facilitator of her clients’ goals rather than an impediment.
“Cassie is an exceptional health law practitioner who appreciates how the laws and regulations governing providers and others in the healthcare space actually manifest themselves in both the business and the practice of medicine,” says Kim Boike, principal and leader of Chuhak & Tecson’s Health Law practice group. “That real-world perspective, that understanding of what her clients face and need in both the short and long terms, makes her a valuable addition to our healthcare team. We are truly excited she’s here.”
Providers, payors, healthcare vendors and a range of investors in the healthcare industry rely on Paolillo as a trusted strategic advisor who delivers candid, pragmatic counsel. She works closely and collaboratively with clients, their internal constituencies and interdisciplinary teams to guide them with clarity through the regulatory thicket involved in strategic healthcare transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financing and investment, commercial contracting and other consequential matters.
Paolillo also assists clients with establishing and implementing MSO-PC arrangements, has served as regulatory counsel to various institutional lenders on financing transactions related to the acquisition of health and life science companies, and has handled private equity investments in pediatric, dental, ambulatory surgery and addiction treatment providers. Her experience extends to HIPAA/privacy compliance, telehealth and other digital health matters, corporate practice issues, professional and facility licensing, determinations of need/certificates of need, and Medicare and Medicaid compliance.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to work side-by-side with lawyers who share my commitment to helping providers achieve their business and clinical goals, supporting those who serve those providers and assisting others who bring new ideas and innovation to healthcare,” Paolillo says. “My clients will also benefit from the firm’s interdisciplinary capabilities and capacity to address an expansive range of issues.”
Paolillo is a graduate of Boston College and earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School, Boston.
