Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. is proud to announce that Tae Young Kim, principal in the firm’s Litigation practice group, has been honored by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of its Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law. The 135 professionals on this list, who shape business, civil life and the courts, include firm leaders, trial lawyers, tax advisers, restructuring specialists, corporate dealmakers, consultants and practice heads guiding clients through litigation, transactions, regulatory change and growth strategy.
“As this recognition reflects, the term ‘leader’ applies to Tae not just in his practice, but in the impact he has on the Chicago legal community more broadly,” says David Bloomberg, co-leader of Chuhak & Tecson’s Litigation practice group. “Not only do his clients entrust him with high-stakes, sometimes bet-the-company cases, but Tae also serves as a mentor and teacher for younger attorneys, including in his role as president of the Asian American Bar Association of Greater Chicago.”
Kim focuses his practice on commercial litigation and disputes and also serves as outside general counsel for a range of industries. He has amassed an impressive record of favorable results in state and federal courts as well as before administrative tribunals in cases involving a broad spectrum of commercial, transactional, banking, securities, trusts and estates, real estate and labor matters. In his corporate and transactional work, Kim has led negotiations for complex, international deals with companies on the Forbes Global 2000 list. In addition to this most recent honor, Kim’s peers have recognized his talent and success, which includes his recent selection by Legal 500, as a Chicago Elite, in Commercial Disputes.
