Recent successes include:

  • successfully representing national online travel companies in high-profile tax litigation pending in federal and state courts as well as nationwide administrative agencies, and prevailing on motions for summary judgment and defeating motions for class certification on their behalf;
  • prevailing on a motion to dismiss in a multimillion-dollar Computer Fraud and Abuse Act claim filed in the Northern District of Illinois;
  • preventing a business disruption that had the potential of causing significant revenue loss for a client’s supply chain of goods by successfully arguing a motion for a temporary restraining order in the Northern District of Illinois;
  • successfully negotiating a disclosure-only settlement that resulted in no payment required from his clients by defeating a shareholder class action matter that sought to enjoin his client’s merger transaction;
  • obtaining a favorable settlement in a high-profile breach of contract and negligence lawsuit pending in the Southern District of Texas for the largest national employee benefits consultant company; and
  • prevailing on a bench trial for contested guardianship proceedings in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, for a pro bono client named guardian in a will of a minor’s father, a Kenyan immigrant.
