Melissa’s practice concentrates on corporate and financial restructuring, insolvency, bankruptcy litigation, secured transactions and financings, general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and debtors’ and creditors’ rights. Her breadth of legal experience also includes representing financially distressed businesses, official creditor’s committees, equity committees and secured creditors.
Melissa’s clients hail from a wide range of industries including retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services, real estate and hospitality. She represents creditors, asset acquirers, landlords/lessors, financial institutions, contract counterparties, trustees and ad hoc creditors’ committees in large asset bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts and adversary proceedings.
A member of the firm’s Banking Practice Group, Melissa takes great pride in having served for six months as a Fried Frank Extern at the Legal Aid Society, Community Development Project in East Harlem.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, reading good books, running and swimming.
