Principal David Shiner presents Estate and Charitable Planning

Chuhak & Tecson, P.C. principal David Shiner will present an in-person program titled "Estate and Charitable Planning" to members of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and Independent Accountants Association of Illinois (IAAI) on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 7 to 8:40 p.m. at Rose Garden Café in Elk Grove Village. Registration is from 6 to 6:30 p.m. followed by the program and dinner. The cost is $35 if registered before Nov. 15 and $40 if after Nov. 15. COVID-19 vaccination confirmations are required. And the state-wide mask mandate must be adhered to as well. Each attendee will receive a form that must be completed on-site to attend the program.
Shiner’s program will explore the estate planning process and the required documentation to execute a successful estate plan. He will also cover key estate and gifting strategies such as annual exclusion, portability and funding clauses among other advanced approaches. As leader of the firm’s Tax and Employee Benefits practice group, Shiner works closely with his clients resolving tax controversies and structuring transactions that minimize exposure to state and federal estate taxes. He is also a certified public accountant with a master of laws in taxation. He is highly experienced with handling cases in the U.S. Tax Court involving gift, estate and income tax matters.
