Marketing Coordinator

Who we are:

What you’ll do:

Marketing / Business Development Support:

  • Assist in developing/implementing/measuring marketing plan activities for assigned practice group initiatives that align with strategic goals.
  • Assist with supporting marketing strategies for individual attorneys including, but not limited to, business development presentations and research needs.
  • Assist in proofreading/editing attorney-generated marketing materials such as ads, letters, columns and articles.
  • Support editorial planning and writing for targeted newsletters while coordinating production, distribution/posting and best practices.
  • Manage inventory and tracking system for all Firm marketing items.
  • Provide support during the electronic or print production process, including identifying/evaluating target audiences; drafting production schedules; directing design; developing text; providing photo and graphic oversight to assure content is strategically illustrated, designed and formatted; gathering/streamlining mailing lists; distribution; and measurement.
  • Manage several aspects of attorney and staff onboarding in conjunction with HR, including drafting bios for incoming associates and staff directors and managers, and assembling and sending new hire gift baskets.
  • Co-lead attorney orientations with the Manager of Marketing and Communications.
  • Assist with coordinating Firm, practice group and attorney sponsorships.
  • Assist with attorney PowerPoint presentations, including reviewing and editing existing presentations or developing occasional last-minute presentations.
  • Collect, organize and archive marketing materials, records, photos, marketing sample books, competitive intelligence and research for easy future retrieval.
  • Assist in monitoring key industry-related websites to track trends.

Public Relations / Internal Relations / Community Relations Support

  • Schedule and write assigned press releases and emails using AP Style.
  • Monitor key media/social media outlets for news regarding the Firm, clients or cases.
  • Maintain media book and calculate publicity values throughout the year; develop spiral-bound report annually.
  • Assist in gathering news from internal sources for press releases, queries or other media opportunities.
  • Identify internal signage to be posted throughout Firm, draft content and design signs for HR and employee-related activities and community service events.

Social Media, Website and Analytics

  • Coordinate the maintenance of the Firm’s website (newly launched in Jan. 2024), including general, routine updates.
  • Coordinate, implement and update website content including pages, postings, attorney bios and other materials as needed.
  • Perform analytics and ROI gathering and tracking using a variety of analytic platforms.
  • Assist with the scheduling, planning and implementation of targeted newsroom and LinkedIn postings.
  • Maintain the Firm’s LinkedIn page, share posts Firm-wide to encourage responses, and train attorneys and staff in using LinkedIn and reviewing/revising their profiles.
  • Maintain Employee Photo Directory.

Event planning

  • Coordinate research, planning, logistics and/or maintenance of live/digital event processes for marketing-related internal and external events/meetings.
  • Assist with attorneys’ community service tactics and Firm events such as Race Judicata and MLK Day of Service.
  • Assist with event planning recommendations, evaluation, measurement and follow-up consistent with the event strategy.
  • Assist in facilitating pre- and post-event promotion and execute invitation distribution.

Newsletters

  • Work with the Manager of Marketing and Communications to publish practice group and other newsletters using MailChimp, including editing, design and distribution.
  • Manage newsletter contact lists, including ensuring that attorneys’ individual lists are tracked and maintained.
  • Gather results and develop reports that illustrate outcomes.
  • Gather/draft content, design and execute internal newsletters.

Miscellaneous

  • Create and implement signage and LinkedIn posts for employee anniversaries.
  • Maintain and distribute “lists” to attorneys and staff, such as languages spoken, court admissions, marketing budgets, promotional item usage, etc.
  • Draft and maintain the Marketing Department’s Standards & Procedures Manual.
  • Assigning and supervising Intern work as needed.

Who you are:

  • An experienced professional with a minimum of one to three years working in a law firm or other professional services firm.
  • Someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field.
  • A strategic and tactical thinker who can effectively interact with professionals at all levels.
  • An effective communicator in oral and written form with excellent proofreading/editing skills who has the ability to work independently from and collaboratively with others.
  • An enthusiastic, proactive team player with the ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel; and Adobe Acrobat/Kofax PDF. Proficiency with basic HTML and CSS, a plus.
  • A proficient, experienced user of various software and online tech tools, including LinkedIn, Mail Chimp, Green Envelope, Google Analytics 4, Zoom, WordPress and Canva.
  • Someone who can lift, lower, push and pull up 10 lbs. of boxes and other materials.
