Women Helping Women

Welcome to Women Helping Women. We thank you for taking the time to learn more about our award-winning program.
In 2009, our women attorneys banded together to form a women’s initiative program. What developed from those meetings was an invitation-only, after-hours networking event that integrates business development with philanthropy. Designed exclusively by women, for women, Women Helping Women was born. Our first Mix-and-Mingle was held that November. Through 2019, our annual Mix-and-Mingles brought together local women business leaders, entrepreneurs and strategic partners — weaving networking, business development and community service into a single event that benefits not only our attendees, but our communities as well. In 2021, we held our first virtual networking event to much success in an effort to find a feasible and creative way to continue this program despite state and local restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In October 2022, we came back live!
For each event, Women Helping Women identifies and partners with a not for profit organization dedicated to helping women or women and their children. To date, we have supported 19 not for profit partners, which include such organizations as All God’s People, Family Focus' Nuestra Familia center, Jewish Child & Family Services, Magdalene House, The Nora Project, Young Women’s Leadership Charter School and our most recent partner, Box United and its Fight Like a Girl program. Over the years, we have collected everything from personal care necessities for homeless youth to furnishings to create a home for women who have been sexually trafficked — and from business clothing to help women veterans dress for job interviews to multicultural and diverse-ability dolls for traumatized children. Our support effort is always as unique as our charity partner, with our Fall 2022 bringing in pink boxing gloves, jump ropes, resistance bands, duffel bags, water bottles and healthy snacks for the young girls served by Fight Like a Girl.
As we are firmly now in our 14th year, we offer a special thank you to everyone who has contributed to making Women Helping Women a success. We embrace 2023 and look forward to expanding our programming in the future! In fact, our 20th not for profit partner has been announced for Fall 2023 — and it’s Anthony’s Avengers! Stay tuned for more to come about this very special organization.
