When it comes to community service, we're inspired to seek out ways that our time and talents can enhance the many communities where we live and work. One attorney commits time to Chicago Volunteer Legal Services to ensure that low-income Chicagoans receive quality legal representation while another mentors law students to assist them in achieving greater academic success. Two others volunteer for Misericordia through the Women’s Board, Siblings Association and Candy Days. Still another, our resident jazz musician and composer, co-founded a not for profit farm retreat dedicated to providing educational and worship opportunities to people of all ages, while at the same time leading a group of accomplished jazz musicians who routinely raise money for worthy causes. Our attorneys and staff give back in countless ways, from serving individually on boards, committees, commissions and charitable foundations to spending personal hours performing service work for Avon’s Breast Cancer Walk, the Polish American Association, JUF and Dream India Academy, to name a few. Collectively, our women attorneys host an annual event called Women Helping Women that pours resources into not-for-profit agencies such as All God's People, Jewish Child & Family Services and The Nora Project.
Dedication to our community is woven into the fabric of Chuhak & Tecson. It is in our hearts; it is in our souls. We position ourselves to attract attorneys and staff who share these values, and we do what’s right for the communities we call home.
Reaching out makes us better people, and—by offering a depth of understanding for people's needs—it makes us better lawyers, too. It's just one more way that Chuhak & Tecson is right there with you.
Philanthropy and a culture of leading by example remain at the heart of Chuhak & Tecson. In honor of our Silver Anniversary, we launched 25 Ways to Give Back.
